Kissimmee, FL, Aug. 10, 2021 – IdeaSport, LLC, global professional soccer event organizer and youth development sports company headquartered at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort, today announced the signing of former professional soccer players Javier Zanetti and Rivaldo Ferreira (“Rivaldo”) as the company’s first ever global ambassadors.

Often considered one of the best players of his generation, Rivaldo, a Brazilian native, is also regarded as one of the greatest of all time. An inductee to the Brazilian Football Museum Hall of Fame, Rivaldo won the Ballon d’Or and was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 1999, and was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world’s greatest living players in 2004.
“It is an honor to join IdeaSport present by Walt Disney World Resort as an ambassador,” said Rivaldo. “Their values align with my own and if I can offer my time to help further their mission, it’s a role I happily and proudly take on.”
Zanetti, an Argentine native, is tenth on the list of players in history with the most career appearances. Inter Milan retired his number 4 jersey and named him as its vice president upon his retirement from the sport. Zanetti is also known for his philanthropic efforts; in 2005, he received the Ambrogino d’Oro award from the city of Milan for his social initiatives and he also serves as a Global Ambassador for the Special Olympics.
